Hays - Chinchilla

The Chinchilla is a rodent native to the Andes, and is a so-called restrict herbivore.
Its diet requires high levels of fiber and low amounts of fat. Hay is the main source of food, to be integrated with Fortified Foods, also known as pellets or feeds, specific for them. The hay also favors the abrasion of the teeth, which never stop growing in these little furry ones. Unlike other rodents, fresh vegetables should be given sparingly while bits of dehydrated fruit are very welcome as an occasional treat. Always provide clean water.
It is important for their health to provide them with large trays and specific sand for cleaning and caring for their fur.
