Did you know that High Performance Formula for Parrots…

It’s a natural transition from the Hand-Feeding Formula;
It contains no preservatives, artificial colors, or flavors;
It’s a perfectly balanced diet, fortified with vitamins and minerals, eliminating the need for additional supplements;
It contains a multi-grain blend with peanuts for increased palatability;
It contains natural omega fatty acids from flaxseed;
It contains balanced calcium and vitamin C for optimal egg formation and bone health;
It contains an essential combination of amino acids for optimal wing growth and development;
It encourages natural foraging;
It comes in a variety of treats and forms to suit a wide range of species (granules, sticks, and biscuits);
It’s high in calories and is an energy-dense diet for outdoor species.
…all of this is evident in the excellent growth of wing structure and bright, glossy colors!

A unique formulation for optimal growth and wing development

The High Performance diet meets the highest demands in terms of weaning (egg-laying and raising the chicks) and growth of parrots (hand-feeding the brood).

It is an excellent source of fat and protein derived from peanuts, as well as an essential source of cereals that complete the amino acid profile, crucial for feather and muscle development. A rich source of natural Omega fatty acids from flaxseeds, peanuts, and sunflower seeds that make feathers shiny and help maintain body health.

Nutritional consistency and digestibility

One of the major differences between Tropican High Performance Parrot food and other products is the significant high fat level. When we feed our birds other products, they produce wet, smelly feces. Many products on the market are mostly made of waste and probably their lower cost is due to the poultry feed (and they actually look like chicken feed). These are products with low levels of fatty acids and amino acids.

HARI has decided to increase the caloric density of its formula with a higher fat content, so that the bird eats and drinks less.

The fat level guaranteed by the High Performance Diet is a minimum of 11%. This is about double the fat found in other products. HARI had no obesity problems, but more importantly, he didn’t have skinny dicks either.

Other breeders who feed low-fat diets report leanness in African Greys and Cockatoos unless they supplement these treats with seed oils such as sunflower oil. Any morsel that needs to be supplemented with seed oil or fruit can hardly be called complete.

Protein level

Birds, like other animals, eat to balance their energy needs. When comparing the protein and dietary energy content of Tropican High Performance Parrot food with other bird foods, the levels are similar. However, the percentage of protein in this diet is different and so is the level of available energy. Because Tropican Parrot has a higher nutrient density and digestibility than other products on the market. This results in better plumage, weight balance, lower consumption, allows for proper metabolic water production (it reduces the need for fluid intake and parrots take in more than three-quarters of their fluids from food) as a result, urination is reduced and the feces are well-formed and not malodorous.

Appetizing

Parrots have significantly more taste buds than chickens, so why are so many diets similar in appearance and taste to chicken feed? Unlike pet pellets, these granules break down cleanly and don’t explode into fine dust like pellets do. The parrot is able to keep the rest of the morsel and eat the piece it broke off. Once again, this difference translates into a benefit for the consumer, as a significant reduction in waste is associated with Tropican bird food.

Some bird owners find it difficult to feed their birds standard diets. The generous levels of important nutrients allow Tropican to be diluted (up to 20 percent on a weight basis) with the addition of fruits and vegetables. Tropican bites are hard and dense and contribute to a healthier beak, which is essential for your bird’s overall health. Tropican Lifetime granules or Lifetime Food sticks ensure even the fussiest of eaters receive a complete, balanced diet. Since Tropican incorporates vitamins and minerals, no supplementation is necessary.
