PSITTACUS Omega – Young Parrots x Large Sizes 800 g

This product can be administered exclusively or as a supplement to various species of medium- and large-sized psittacine birds.
It can be used ad libitum in the genera Ara, Psittacus, and Poicephalus and is particularly recommended during periods when parrots require increased nutritional intake (young parrots up to one year of age, parrots with nutritional deficiencies, etc.). It is recommended to use it sparingly in those species that tend to gain weight such as Amazon, Cockatoo, Psittacula, Eclectus, etc.
It is a highly palatable feed with maximum nutritional richness. Furthermore, it has been formulated with particular attention to its fatty acid profile and the content of Omega 6 and Omega 3.
Its formula was created to cover 100% of the parrot’s diet. However, it is advisable to add fresh fruits and vegetables daily to add variety to your diet. In this case, it is recommended that the Omega feed does not fall below 70% of the total diet (except in the case of Eclectus, which require a lot of sweet fruits). In daily consumption varies between 5 and 10% of the animal’s weight. Environmental conditions, especially temperature, have a very significant influence on consumption. Medium-sized species (such as the African Grey parrot) consume around 25-45 g per day.
